What is Measure P?
Measure P is a school facilities improvement bond measure on the November 8, 2022 ballot. Funds from the measure would be used to upgrade and modernize local elementary and intermediate school classrooms, labs and school facilities in Oak Grove School District

How much does Measure P cost?
With prior bonds expiring to offset the cost of new bonds, Measure P is not projected to increase tax rates beyond the 3¢ per $100 of assessed value property owners currently pay.

What types of school improvements would Measure P fund?
Measure P would:
**Modernize classrooms and improve student and teacher access to computers and modern technology
**Improve student safety through classroom and school security enhancements including adding additional security cameras, improve lighting, secure fencing, and controlled access to classrooms and school sites
**Upgrade science labs and construct learning spaces to support robotics, engineering, visual/performing arts, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) education
**Provide facilities to support and enhance District education programs

Are fiscal accountability protections required?
Measure P includes mandatory fiscal accountability requirements to help ensure that funds are spent as promised, including:
**An independent citizens’ oversight committee, annual audits, public spending disclosure, and detailed project list
**All funds must be used locally and no funds can be taken by the State
**No funds can be used for administrator or teacher salaries or benefits

Who can vote on Measure P?
All voters registered in Oak Grove School District are eligible to vote on the measure.

When can I vote on Measure P?
Measure P will be on the November 8, 2022 General Election ballot. All voters receive a ballot in the mail the week of October 10. Mail ballots must be postmarked by November 8, 2022. No postage is required. Santa Clara County also offers in-person voting centers on and before Election Day and many polling locations will be open from 7am-8pm on November 8.
