All media request to interview, videotape, or photograph Oak Grove School District staff, students or board members should be made through the Superintendent's Office at 408-227-8300 or via email at superintendent@ogsd.net.
Media on School Grounds: Before visiting a school campus, the Media should contact the Superintendent's Office. Media must remain on the public sidewalks and may not videotape or photograph any students/staff on campus unless arranged through the Superintendent's Office. When approved to videotape, photograph, or interview students and/or staff, a district representative will accompany the media to minimize disruption and assist with any additional requests.
Student Media Release: Federal and state law allow students and parents to opt out of the release of certain information about students, including photographs. The district works with each school to determine who has a photo/video release form on file and who cannot be photographed and interviewed.
Emergency/Crisis Communication: We will work as quickly as possible to provide accurate information to the media. Our first priority is ensuring the safety and security of students and staff and communicating about the emergency with staff and parents/guardians. We then work to provide timely information to the media on the emergency and its impact on students and staff. In an emergency, media may be assigned to a designated location to ensure their safety and minimize disruption to emergency response efforts. In the event of an emergency after hours please contact 911, First Alarm at 831-662-7455 or 408 448-9739.
