Chromebook Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where can I locate my child's student number? Student Email address?
    • There are various ways you can find your child's student number and or email address. The easiest way to find this is in Infinite Campus Parent Portal or ParentSquare.

  • What do I do if the Chromebook Asset Tag is not visible or missing?
    • You can find the Asset ID on the login screen (top-right corner). Please wait a few seconds for the Asset ID to populate.
    • To have a new Asset Tag printed, please inform your child's school front office staff. They will follow the internal processes for getting a new tag printed.

  • What do I do if I do not have PayPal. Do you accept cash or check?
    • We are only accepting online payments at this time.
    • If you don't have PayPal, you can choose "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" option once you click the "Pay with PayPal" button.
    • PayPal accepts American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Master Card, and Visa.
    • NOTE** In some cases after you have selected to "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" and are ready to pay, the payment button shows "Create Account & Pay Now".  You will also notice a line above it showing "Save info & create your PayPal account". Please uncheck that if you do not wish to create a PayPal account. You will then be able to proceed without creating a PayPal account.

  • Isn't just completing the "Pay with PayPal" enough to purchase the Protection Plan?
    • The "Pay with PayPal" only completes the payment transaction. To ensure the purchased Protection Plan is associated with the correct student Chromebook, all three (3) steps in the form must be completed.

  • Should I complete all three (3) steps at once?
    • Although you can complete all three (3) steps separately, we recommend completing at once, so that the purchase transaction is associated with the correct student Chromebooks

  • Are Chromebook protection plans applicable for kindergarten students who are not issued Chromebook to take home, but they only use it in the class?
    • As long as a Chromebook is assigned to a student and the student uses it on a regular basis, the plan is applicable. If the Chromebook used in the classroom is not specifically assigned to your student, then the plan is not applicable. The plan provides protection against damage or loss, which could occur in classroom use as well. However, it is mostly beneficial for students who take Chromebooks home.

  • If a Chromebook is replaced, does the protection plan transfer to the new device? Is it necessary for the parent or guardian to notify the IT department?
    • The protection plan automatically covers any device assigned to the student throughout the protection period. The IT department will update the information system without requiring any action from the parent or guardian.

Please note, it may take 5 to 10 school days for the system to reflect the changes after a replacement device is issued. However, coverage for the new device will remain active during this period.
