- Are Chromebook protection plans applicable for kindergarten students who are not issued Chromebook to take home, but they only use it in the class?
-
As long as a Chromebook is assigned to a student and the student uses it on a regular basis, the plan is applicable. If the Chromebook used in the classroom is not specifically assigned to your student, then the plan is not applicable. The plan provides protection against damage or loss, which could occur in classroom use as well. However, it is mostly beneficial for students who take Chromebooks home.
-
- If a Chromebook is replaced, does the protection plan transfer to the new device? Is it necessary for the parent or guardian to notify the IT department?
-
The protection plan automatically covers any device assigned to the student throughout the protection period. The IT department will update the information system without requiring any action from the parent or guardian.
Please note: It may take 5 to 10 school days for the system to reflect the changes after a replacement device is issued. However, coverage for the new device will remain active during this period.
