2025

Ms. Kristie Morikawa, Davis Intermediate School - English Teacher
The Oak Grove School District is proud to announce the 2025 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Kristie Morikawa! Ms. Morikawa is a Board Certified Teacher who has worked with OGSD since 2019. She currently teaches 8th grade Language Arts and an elective class called "Medical Detectives". Ms. Morikawa also spends her summer teaching Computer Science to middle school students in OGSD through the Computer Science Institute.
Davis Principal Kudsi shared, "Kristie is an outstanding teacher and continually demonstrates our core values in the classroom. She has been an instrumental member of our Instructional Focus Team and offers insight and strategies to her fellow colleagues and is open to new ideas to support student success. She has been a member of our district DEIB team as well as our District Curriculum Team. Any student who has her as a teacher is fortunate to receive her quality instruction in the classroom!"
We are excited to celebrate Ms. Morikawa in the Fall where she will be acknowledged at the 55th Annual Santa Clara County Office of Education Teacher Recognition Celebration. Congratulations again to Ms. Morikawa!!

Mrs. Cynthia Bosworth, Anderson Elementary School - K/1 SDC
The Oak Grove School District is proud to announce the 2024 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Cynthia Bosworth! Mrs. Bosworth has been a teacher in OGSD for 10 years. Prior to that, Mrs. Bosworth worked as an Instructional Assistant in OGSD since 2002. Mrs. Bosworth always has a smile on her face and creates a warm, caring environment where all students feel included, cared for, accepted and valued. After over a decade at Anderson, Mrs. Bosworth will be retiring at the end of this school year. Mrs. Bosworth will be acknowledged at the 54th Annual Santa Clara County Teacher Recognition Celebration on October 21, 2024. Congratulations to Mrs. Cynthia Bosworth!


2023

Mr. Chad Greenwood, Baldwin Elementary School - 2nd Grade
The Oak Grove School District is proud to announce the 2023 Teacher of the Year, Mr. Chad Greenwood! Mr. Greenwood has been a teacher in OGSD for 23 years, first at Glider Elementary School and now at Baldwin Elementary where he has been teaching 2nd grade. Mr. Greenwood creates a warm, caring environment where all students feel included, cared for, accepted and valued. Mr. Greenwood implements instructional strategies to meet the needs of his diverse students. He actively engages his students in SEAL, Writer’s Workshop, Math and Core ELA instruction. Students’ social-emotional needs take priority and are connected to the academic content and life experiences that he provides. Mr. Greenwood exemplifies what it means to have quality instruction with high expectations and holding students accountable to their learning. He is an active member in the Baldwin leadership team and helping to lead the way for school wide quality instruction. Mr. Greenwood will be acknowledged at the 53rd Annual Santa Clara County Teacher Recognition Celebration on October 23, 2023. Congratulations to Mr. Chad Greenwood!
