Transitional Kindergarten is a two-year optional kindergarten experience that gives students the “gift of time” to develop foundational behaviors, skills, and attitudes to promote competence and confidence in kindergarten and throughout their comprehensive school experience. Students must be fully potty-trained in order to register for TK.

Transitional Kindergarten instruction takes place in a flexible, play-centered, and developmental environment attentive to the social and emotional stages of each child. The curriculum follows California State guidelines with a pacing that is developmentally appropriate, while encouraging cultural and linguistic diversity.
