Enrollment and Registration Information

Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year Enrollment Page.  We are taking Program Option, Intra-District and Inter-District Applications at this time January 11 through March 12th.  Applications show that you are interested in applying to a school other than your home school in grades K-8th. 
 
For regular homeschool registration for new kindergarten, TK or other new students, registration opens March 1st. 
 
For current families with students entering grades 1-8 wishing to apply to AdVENTURE STEM 5-8 grade, Indigo K-8 grade, STEAM @ Stipe K-6, VLA K-8 or one of our three Spanish Immersion programs or another school site other than your own home school, you can do so by visiting the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and selecting more on the left navigation bar and then selecting the school of your choice.  For our existing families entering Kindergarten and our new families wanting any of the above options, you will need to download the appropriate application on the right hand bar and submit it the appropriate program, all Intra-district transfers, Inter-district transfers and requests for Spanish Immersion are to be sent to the District Office attn:  Teresa Flores tflores@oakgrovesd.net.  
Registration for current year 2020-2021:
 
  • For information about transferring to a school other than the designated school of attendance, please see the Intra-District section below.
  • For students and families that qualify for Foster Youth/McKinney Vento please contact the district liaison at 408-227-8300.

Step 2 - REGISTER ONLINE Hard copy registration forms are also available at all school sites. Students who reside in a different district must first complete an Inter-District Transfer at your home district for approval first.

Step 3 - SUBMIT DOCUMENTS  Once you have completed the Online Registration in step two, please use the checklist (Below in 3 languages) to submit documents at your school:

PROOF OF RESIDENCY:   Education Code section 48204.1 requires school districts to accept “reasonable evidence” of residency in the district, one of the following • Property tax payment receipts • Rental property contract, lease, or payment receipts • Utility service contract, statements, or payment receipts • Pay stubs • Voter registration • Correspondence from a government agency • Declaration of residency executed by the parent or legal guardian of the student
 
PROOF OF BIRTHDATE: To prove age, Education Code section 48002 permits school districts to accept the following: • Certified copy of birth record • Statement by the local registrar or county recorder certifying the date of birth • Baptism certificate • Passport • When none of the foregoing is obtainable, an affidavit of the parent, guardian, or custodian, or any other appropriate means of proving the child’s age.
 
IMMUNIZATION RECORDS / HEALTH and DENTAL EXAMINATION (Below in 3 languages)
Please provide current doctor verification of required immunizations for school (ie. yellow card/immunization record)
 
Complete the Registration Packet below using the checklist (if applicable) - Must be completed after March 2nd and prior to the first day of school. Board Policy BP5141.32
 
TB Risk Assessment for School Entry form must be submitted prior to entering kindergarten or upon transfer to Santa Clara County schools. If transferring within Santa Clara County, please provide a copy of TB Risk Assessment for School Entry form.(Form is below)  
 
IF APPLICABLE
  • Proof of Special Education Program (IEP - Individual Education Program)
  • Transfer Request Form from previous school

Inter-District Transfers(Out of District to OGSD)

 

Parents/Guardians residing in the boundary of another school district must apply for their student to attend Oak Grove School District. Please obtain and complete an Inter-District transfer application from your district of residence and deliver it to the OGSD District Office for review.
 
Parent/Guardians residing within Oak Grove School District wishing to send their student to another district must complete Oak Grove School District's Inter-District Transfer form, available below, and return it to the OGSD District Office for review.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

Transitional Kindergarten registration begins March 1st.  There are 8 locations for TK, please click below for the list of locations.  There are two Spanish Dual Immersion TK locations (Del Roble and Christopher), families interested in that program must apply using the Program Option Application to apply.
