Enrollment Registration

Step 1.
Please visit the SchoolFinder website at the link below and type in your residential address to determine your student's home school:
If no home schools are returned, you may reside outside of the Oak Grove School District boundary. Please contact Mary Veloz in the Educational Services Department at (408) 227-8300 x100208 to inquire about the Interdistrict Transfer process.
Step 2.

Please complete and submit a registration form through Online Registration by clicking on the link below:
Online Registration requires a valid email address. If you do not have or wish to provide an email address, you may complete the application on an Online Registration Chromebook Kiosk at the District Office over summer break. Paper registration forms are included in each school's registration packet and may be obtained at the District Office over summer break. If you experience trouble accessing the application, please contact the Oak Grove School District Help Desk at (408) 227-8300 ext. 100210.
Step 4.
Please print, complete and deliver the following forms to the District Office during summer break or starting August 3, 2017, you may deliver the forms to the home school during your school's office hours.
The packets will be processed beginning August 3, 2017. A child cannot be enrolled until all of the required registration documents are obtained. Please bring your personal documents (i.e. Birth Verification, Proof Of Residence) to the home school to be verified and copied beginning August 3rd, 2017 to complete the registration process.
Paper registration packets may also be obtained from the District Office over summer break during regular office hours.
In addition to the above forms, please remember to bring the following to the home school for verification:
- Original Certified Birth Certificate OR Passport
- Proof Of Residence
- Transfer Form from previous school if applicable
- Copy of IEP (Individual Education Program) if applicable
Transferring into Santa Clara County requires a TB Risk Assessment for School Entry Form within 12 months prior to registration

Transitional Kindergarten (TK)
Transitional Kindergarten Registration for the 2017-18 school year begins on March 1.
Parents/Guardians who live in the Oak Grove attendance area only may submit an application for their student to attend a Program.
Parents/Guardians who are interested in having their student attend a school outside of their attendance area may also submit an Intradistrict Transfer Request form. Please print and complete the 'Intradistrict Choice Program Transfer Request Application', indicating the desired School Year for the transfer. Forms may also be obtained from the school site and returned to your home school or the district office.

Interdistrict Transfer
Parents/Guardians residing in the boundary of another school district must apply for their student to attend Oak Grove School District. The application must be delivered to the district office with all information outlined in the brochure. If you have any questions, please email Mary Veloz at mveloz@ogsd.net.
Immunization Law
Immunization Law Under a new law known as SB 277, beginning January 1, 2016, exemptions based on personal beliefs will no longer be an option for the vaccines that are currently required for school entry in California. All incoming Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students must provide proof of vaccinations in order to register. If your child is currently in sixth grade and has a personal beliefs exemption on file for one or more vaccines, he/she will not be allowed to start seventh grade until he/she completes the required vaccines or is in the process of receiving a series of required vaccines and is not overdue for the current dose. Personal beliefs exemptions which are already on file for a student who is currently enrolled and attending school will remain valid until the student reaches the next immunization checkpoint at seventh grade.
